Columbus Free Throw Competition

Council 6343 Crowns Free Throw Champions
Three boys and girls from West Milford, ages 10 to 14 were named local
champions of the 2012 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship and have
earned the right to compete at the district level. Father Francis Koch
Council 6343 of West Milford sponsored the local competition at St. Joseph’s
Parish Center. All youngsters ages 10 to 14 were eligible to participate.
Shane Plokhow was the 12-year-old boys champion. Brielle Mulvihill was the
13-year-old girls champion. In the 14 year-old division, the winner for the
girls was Tess Korinko. Each contestant was allowed 15 free throw attempts
in the contests.
Each of these winners will compete in the district competition to be held February
4th with and eye toward moving on to the regional, state and
international levels.

Coffee Donations for
the East Orange V.A. Hospital.
Parishioner
and K of C member Doug Bock, PGK administers the "Coffee for Vets" program at the
East Orange V.A. Hospital. Supplies are low and he is looking for donations
of coffee (Regular only). At
this time there is a real need for creamer, sugar, artificial sweetener and
7 oz. cups. Please leave donations in the
food pantry receptacle in the church foyer marked "Coffee for Vets." Your
generosity is appreciated.
